Good Wednesday Morning!

Critical weather days remain in effect through 00z Friday in support of tropical cyclone operations in Florida. No geomagnetic storms are forecasted through Friday. TEB airport will be closed Saturday night through noon Sunday per notam (A3586/24). They will also have several runway closures in the next few days too. Airways in the Gulf of Mexico – L465, M215, M219, and M580 remain closed. Several airports across Central Florida remain closed, it is advisable to check notams for the latest updates.

Two-week tropical outlook – probabilities of TC development remain moderately high over portions of the West Pacific into the Bay of Bengal for much of next week. Below average precipitation chances remain for much of Northern South America and central Mexico.

Tropical outlook

West Pacific / Indian Ocean basin – no suspect areas.

Eastern Pacific- Atlantic – Eastern Pacific – Eastern Caribbean Sea – no areas of concern in the Eastern Pacific. Hurricane Milton, 250 miles SW of Tampa, moving NE at 16 mph, with max sustained winds of 155 mph. Still looking for landfall early Thursday morning, just to the South of the Tampa area.

US Severe weather outlook – enhanced risk of severe thunderstorms today through early Thursday morning over portions of Florida with landfalling Hurricane Milton. A few super cells are possible. In fact, a tornado watch remains in effect for much of Florida from Orlando South to Key West through 9 pm tonight.

Europe outlook – very deep surface low near Bordeaux, France today will move quickly to the Northeast over the next 24 hours and be centered to the NE of Denmark by 12z Thursday. On Friday the weather will be relatively quiet as weak upper-level ridging builds into the continent behind an upper-level trough over Western Poland to the Balkans. However, another fairly strong area of low pressure west of Portugal will bring increasing chances for showers and thunderstorms to Portugal and Spain on Friday and Saturday.
