Good Monday Morning,
Singapore airshow will take place from 03 to 05 February 2026. Normal airspace closures will take place from the ground to 10,000 feet during various times of the day. Please refer to AIP SUP 161/2025 for further details. Several GPS Interference tests will take place over portions of the US this week. FAASAFETY.GOV has the latest public notices. Moderately strong atmospheric river is expected to bring excessive rainfall to much of coastal BC/WA/OR this week with a foot or more of rain is possible over the Cascades. With high freezing levels much of the snow will occur over coastal BC into the Southern Canadian Rockies. Significant travel delays are likely at MSP after 18z Tuesday as another Alberta clipper brings a good chance for accumulating snow.
Critical weather days / geomagnetic storm outlook – no critical weather days are anticipated through mid-week. A strong, G3 geomagnetic storm is forecast on Tuesday.
CONUS severe weather outlook – no severe weather outbreaks are expected through the end of this week.
Tropical weather outlook – all is quiet.
Europe outlook – storm Bram has been named by the Irish met office. Highest impacts will be over Ireland/Northern Ireland and Scotland through Tuesday with gusty winds and heavy rain. It will not impact the London area significantly, just some gusty cross winds on Tuesday from the South. On Tuesday at 12z it will be located 250 miles NW of Shannon, Ireland then by 12Z Wednesday it will move quickly to the NE and be located 400 miles due North of Prestwick, Scotland. Later on, this week, upper-level ridging will be present over much of Europe bringing a more settled pattern, which in turn will lead to better chances of overnight fog developing. Chances for snow over much of Western and central Europe remain very low this week.
North Atlantic jet stream analysis – an upper-level trough from Southern Greenland to Northern Quebec along with an upper-level ridge over the Balkans will allow a fairly zonal pattern to exist with velocities around 150 knots between Bermuda and the Azores.
