Spanish Grand Prix runs from May 30th until June 1st near Barcelona. Heavy Biz Av traffic is expected at both LEBL and LEGE. Plan accordingly. At ENBR, the only runway 17/35 will be closed nightly, except on Friday and Saturday nights until June 06th. Airport closure has begun at ASE and this will end on the 02nd of June at 01z. Slot restrictions for GA aircraft continue at Malta (LMML) until the 13th of May at 04z.Most importantly the situation between Pakistan and India is deteriorating resulting the closure of many airways between the countries. Expect increased traffic as a result in the Gulf of Oman. Please check the FIR notams frequently for updates. Wimbledon takes place from June 30th until July 13th this year. It is advised to get your flights on the books ASAP to avoid any potential parking/slot issues.
Critical weather days / geomagnetic storm outlook – no critical weather days nor geomagnetic storms are forecast through Friday.
Tropical cyclone outlook – no suspect areas.
CONUS severe weather outlook – there is a slight risk today for the TX Coastal Plain. On Thursday and Friday on Marginal chances exist, primarily over the SE US.
Europe outlook – no severe weather is expected for the next few days at least. A stationary front on Thursday from Northern Italy to the central Black Sea will provide the impetus for a few showers and isolated thunderstorms otherwise with high pressure in control over much of Central and Northern Europe little in the way of active weather will be present. Expect little change on Friday with a weak and broad upper-level trough extending from Portugal to Western Russia. Most of the continent will remain free of any active weather with high pressure centered over the Southern North Sea.
North Atlantic jet stream forecast – relatively light winds continue across the region and this is expected to continue into early next week.
