Just a reminder that daily between 1800 and 2300z no GA operations are permitted at MMPR per notam a9040/25. Looks like EGBB will be closed nightly between 2300z and 0600z MON-FRI until 11/29. OMDW will be closed from 0915-1315z daily from 11/16 until 11/21 for the Dubai Air show.
Critical weather days / geomagnetic storm outlook – none through Wednesday.
Tropical cyclone outlook – Typhoon Kalmaegi, 450 miles ESE of Manila, is moving West at 10 knots. The typhoon will weaken over the next 24 to 48 hours, then slowly intensify over the South China Sea later on this week with landfall likely near Da Nang on the 07th around 00z. NOSIG impacts expected on Manila.
CONUS severe weather outlook – all is quiet through Friday.
Europe outlook – a frontal system to the West of the UK to NW Portugal will help promote showers and gusty winds at times. On Wednesday, a moderately strong area of low pressure will be 500 miles to the SSW of Shannon, Ireland, with a cold front towards Western Portugal which will bring periods of showers, heavy at times to much of Portugal moving into Central Spain by evening. NOSIG snow expected in the Alps through Friday.
North Atlantic jet stream analysis – on Wednesday, a very strong zonal jet will prevail from the Northern Plains to the Azores to central Spain with peak velocities of 110 knots. This pattern may continue into the weekend.
