Good Wednesday Morning,

Both Delhi and Mumbai India are getting second airports which are set to open over the next month or two. VIND will be located new Delhi and VANM will be located near VABB. Please check India SUP 45-2025 and 46-2025 for further details. French industrial Action from 09/10 04z until 09/11 06z with the highest impacts expected in the Marseille ACC. Another strike is likely on the 18th of September. Fairly deep upper level low and surface low will likely impact the YSSY area for the next 24 hours with heavy rain, gusty winds, and possible thunderstorms with small hail as the cold upper-level pocket moves through the region. This same low-pressure area will affect the North Island of New Zealand on Thursday and early Friday. A three-hour strike is planned for Cyprus tomorrow from 08-11z. Expect impacts at LCLK and LCPH.

Critical weather days / geomagnetic storm outlook – none through Friday.

Tropical cyclone outlook – TC 03S, 470 miles WSW of Diego Garcia, in the Southern Indian Ocean, will not impact any land masses. Invest area 93S, 500 miles NNW of the Cocos Islands has a high chance of developing further over the next 24 hours. Invest area 97A, 100 miles East of Karachi has a low chance of developing in the next 24 hours. Invest area EP95, a few hundred miles offshore Southern Mexico has a high chance of developing over the next three days. This system will have to watched carefully as it moves off in a general NW direction and may brush the coast of Mexico.

CONUS severe weather outlook – overall, a fairly quiet period is expected through the upcoming weekend.

Europe outlook – several moderately strong cold fronts and upper-level troughs will impact much of Western Europe over the next several days with periodic gusty winds and periods of rain. A fairly strong low-pressure area is likely to impact the UK and Ireland on Sunday with very gusty winds and heavier showers. A named storm is not anticipated at this time.

Long range tropical outlook – over the next two weeks favored areas remain over Southwestern Mexico, Southern Gulf of Mexico, East Atlantic and finally from Guam to Taiwan.

North Atlantic jet stream analysis – with the upper-level low midway between Scotland and Iceland on Friday expect a very fast zonal flow from CYYT to LFRB with velocities in excess of 150 knots. This pattern will likely continue through the weekend.
