All visa free travelers to the UK will require an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) in 2025. 

U.S. nationals, and most other non-Europeans, can apply now (Check when you can get an electronic travel authorisation (ETA) – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk). They will require an ETA for travel to the UK starting January 8, 2025.  

Most European nationalities will be able to apply starting March 5, 2025, and they will require it for travel as of April 2, 2025. 

One of Flight Pro International’s wonderful clients, Brett Beasley, provided some excellent feedback on the ETA process.  After downloading the app to his phone, it took him less than three minutes to input the necessary data, which includes passport information and a photo, and submit payment.  Within two minutes after that, he received an email confirming his ETA approval.
