Currently, Shanghai business aviation travelers must take note of two airports with updates for operators:

ZSPD (Pudong International)

Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has announced that no GA flights will be allowed to operate to ZSPD from March 26th to June 3rd, 2023, due to runway maintenance.

ZSSS (Hongqiao International)

Please note that during the closure of ZSPD for GA flights, applications for slots at ZSSS can be pursued according to the following guidelines:

• GA flights are now permitted from North America and other locations from the East. (Previously, GA flights were only allowed into ZSSS from the South and West.)

• Between 07:00 – 09:00 local time, only 2 arrival slots per hour are permitted for GA aircraft (4 slots in total during this period).

• Between 09:00 – 00:00 local time, GA slots are available for both arrival and departure with a maximum of 2 slot allocations per hour.

• Strict curfew between 00:01 – 06:00 local time with no GA flight operations allowed.

ZSSS will continue to be very busy during the closure of ZSPD for GA flights; however, Flight Pro International will always do our very best to secure slots based on our clients’ needs.
