Aviation Weather November 4, 2026

Good Wednesday Morning!

Per our local agent in Turks and Caicos, MBPV, the 2026 NOTAM will begin November 14 and ban arrivals and departures from island FBOs on Saturdays between 12:00 – 15:00 local time (1700-2000Z).  Restrictions currently only run through December 12 but are expected to be extended. Latest from EUROCONTROL indicates that the French strike beginning this evening through Friday morning will only have limited impacts. FMEE (Reunion) however strangely enough will be highly impacted. On November 26th, Shannon, Ireland, EINN, runway 06/24 will become 05/23 due to a change in magnetic variation. No surprise here, but as of 10/31 Jeppesen has officially ended its paper chart service. A presidential TFR is likely in the Palm Beach area this weekend. No official TFR has been issued yet.

No critical weather days are in effect through Friday. Space weather remains quiet through Friday also.

CONUS severe weather outlook – a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms is possible today from Central GA to Eastern TN as an upper-level trough moves through the region. Otherwise, the period through the middle of next week looks very quiet.

Tropical weather outlook – typhoon IN-FA, 160 miles West of Iwo To will recurve and pass well to the East of Japan over the next 24 to 48 hours.

Europe outlook – on Thursday the core of the upper-level ridge will persist from the Northern North Sea to the Czech Republic while a weak upper-level low will persist over the Bay of Biscay.  On Friday the upper-level ridge will be centered from Norway to Italy with the surface high over Southern Sweden. A stable airmass will be noted underneath the ridge with fog and mist and low ifr conditions likely during the overnight hours. No significant storm systems are expected over the continent for the next several days.

North Atlantic jet stream outlook – on Friday, the upper level low to the NW of the Azores and the upper level ridge over Central Europe will highly influence the jet.
