Singapore F1 Grand Prix will take place from 09 to 11 October 2026. Non F1 related flights will not be permitted to operate into WSSS from 04 to 13 October. If WSSS is required, only quick turnarounds will be allowed. KBGR, Bangor INTL will be closed from 09/21 12z until 09/24 at 19z per notam 09/104. On September 21st through the 22nd several TFR’S will be in place in the New York City area. Likely to see an official TFR issued on Friday. EGGW will be closed overnight from 0130z until 0430z on 09/20 and 09/21. Several runway closures continue at MRLB through 12/12.
No Critical weather days are expected through Friday and no geomagnetic storms are forecast through Friday too.
CONUS severe weather outlook – probability of a significant severe weather episode remains low for the next seven days.
Tropical weather outlook – td 24W, 275 miles ENE of Navsta, Guam is moving NNE at 06 knots. Confidence remains moderate in the longer term as to whether this system will be a high impact event for the Tokyo area on Monday. I have included a few images from the Google deep mind model along with the operational runs from the EURO and GFS models for comparison. Our latest in-house weather product is showing winds from the North at 25 to 40 knots on Monday with heavy showers at times at RJTT.
Europe outlook – on Thursday a deep 975mb low will be centered 425 miles North of Belfast with a cold front extending from the low to the Eastern North Sea to extreme NW France. Brief, moderate intensity showers will accompany the frontal passage. On Friday the initial front will weaken over central Europe while another front will approach Ireland and Northern Ireland with a few heavier showers. Chances for lightning remain low over the continent in general, with the highest probabilities over Northern Morocco through Northern Tunisia through Friday evening. Still no signs of snow in the Alps for the next seven days. Will have to watch early next week for overnight fog development over the UK with strong surface high pressure and an upper-level ridge moving in.
North Atlantic jet stream outlook – on Friday, a very strong zonal flow will continue across the Atlantic with very good enroute times on the East bound flights. Early next week the flow will become buckled thanks to the upper-level ridge over Ireland and the UK.
