In addition to Thanksgiving, November is National Veterans and Military Family Appreciation Month. At Flight Pro International, we have much to be thankful for as we take a moment to honor the many Veterans who work at FPI.

With 25% of the company hailing as Veteran status, the unique spirit of our service members makes an indelible mark on the FPI spirit, and we’re proud to have this impressive contribution to the company culture.

Always propelled by an ingrained sense of passion and duty, FPI’s Veterans bring a decorously tenacious and mission-driven tone to the table when in service for FPI clients. Undoubtedly the tone is felt by our clients, colleagues, and contractors whether they interface directly with our Veterans or whether they’re being served by our Veterans in the background.

FPI’s Veterans are all Trip Coordinators or Meteorologists and Flight Planners and are uniquely deployed throughout our Operations and Regulatory/Compliance departments. Of the 27 staff directly working these departments, 12 are Veterans; therefore, there’s a high probability clients are being answered by a Military Veteran when they call or communicate with FPI.

For this Connections, we invited our Veterans to call to attention their thoughts regarding the natural translation of their military service skills into their operations and management roles at FPI: 

Melinda Harris, USAF:  “As an aviation manager in the Air Force, I worked with aircrew daily. The ability to communicate with pilots and schedulers was a seamless transition to FPI.”

Sean Harris, USAF: “With my job as an Aviation Maintenance Planner, attention to detail was at the utmost importance. Working at FPI brings attention to detail to new heights and I believe my experience has helped me quickly adapt to trip coordinating.”

Ken Pouncy, USN: “From air defense control with United States Navy fighters to being the most trusted, premier provider of global trip support solutions here at FPI, every day I come to work with a relentless pursuit of excellence.”

Trung Freed, USN: “Through my military service, I’ve honed the values of discipline, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence. These qualities have seamlessly transitioned into my work at FPI, where I continue to serve with dedication, precision, and an unwavering focus on delivering the best possible client experience.”

Tim Bartholomew, USN: “I enjoy working with my fellow Veterans.  They all have a strong work ethic, proven performance under pressure, and a knack for creative problem-solving. This is the team you want to have riding alongside.”

Speaking for the company as a whole, FPI’s Leadership also wanted to express their gratitude towards the Veterans on the Team:
