New Travel Requirements Introduced In India

(November 2025)

The Government of India has introduced the mandatory e-Arrival Card” for foreign nationals for faster immigration processing.

As of October 1st, 2025, foreign nationals entering India must complete an e-Arrival Card online, which can be completed up to 72 hours before arrival. The e-Arrival Card replaces the traditional paper disembarkation card, and the requirement applies to both crew and passengers.

The form is available on the Indian Visa Online website:  https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/earrival/ and requires information such as:

  • passport details
  • contact information
  • purpose of visit
  • address in India

Once completed, travelers should print and carry the digital confirmation.

Note: The e-Arrival Card is in addition to the well-established requirement for crew and passengers to have an Indian Visa. All crew must arrive with a valid BUSINESS / E-BUSINESS Visa only.  Crewmembers are not allowed entry into India on Tourist / E-TOURIST Visa.

Applications for the E-BUSINESS Visa can be done online: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html and the purpose of the visit should be listed as “To Attend Business Meetings/Conferences.”
