In November 2025, FPI announced the grand opening of their newest office — on premises at Farnborough Airport, the birthplace of British aviation as well as the recently developed, award-winning Hangar Domus III.
In January 2026, FPI added to their global family of dedicated supervisory representatives by bringing Jo Sutherden and Kelly Long to the UK team. Jo and Kelly will operate from the new Farnborough office.

Known for his easy-going sense of humor and being “cool under pressure,” Jo brings several years of experience with handling a wide variety of aircraft types, along with a high standard of work ethic… traits that are immediately beneficial for FPI travelers moving through the region.
“I’m into all things sport, but once I was introduced to private aviation, I caught the aviation bug and haven’t looked back since,” Jo says. “I cannot see myself taking my career anywhere else, and I’m grateful to be part of the exciting new office with FPI.”

(Kelly Long)
Kelly is known for her larger-than-life personality, and brings over a decade-and-a-half of aviation experience, including an operational background and crew experience.
“I enjoy the challenge aviation brings because no two days are ever the same,” states Kelly. “If you don’t find me on the aviation front line or behind the scenes, you’ll find me planning my next adventure because if I’m not working around aircraft, I’d better be onboard traveling somewhere new myself.”
Both Jo and Kelly are natural additions to the spirited UK team located at the Luton office, which had also expanded over the last couple of years with the additions of Ashley Punter and Laura Buckmaster.
Both the Farnborough and Luton offices will be managed by Alan Owen and Lukas Kendera, who’ve been with FPI since the company’s inception and are part of FPI’s previous history, dating back several decades with Air Routing International (ARI).

“It cannot be overstated to name all the special “behind the scenes” services that our UK staff provides for our clients,” declares Tom Balousek, FPI’s founder and founder of the predecessor, ARI. “The UK team is a prominent part of FPI, and we’re glad to have Jo and Kelly onboard at our new Farnborough office.”
Based within the main terminal, FPI’s new office provides the perfect opportunity to offer greater support to FPI’s visiting and locally-based clients, while building upon relationships within the airport and its many vendors.
“With Farnborough’s plans to increase weekend movements, along with their excellent engineering support for Gulfstream and Bombardier, and many other high-quality vendors on the airport, we are very excited to begin this new chapter for FPI and are well-poised to continue offering the very best service to our clients,” states Alan Owen, FPI’s Sr. UK Manager.
The UK region has always been one of the busiest aviation regions in the world, and Farnborough has become known as the benchmark for premium aviation experiences for commercial and General Aviation travelers alike. With its proximity to the M3 motorway and its 800-plus direct international commercial connections, Farnborough offers exceptional access to London and beyond.
Having a dedicated team of supervisory professionals based in Farnborough will allow FPI to serve GA travelers with even more VIP, white glove attention.
“Our specialty is that we’re a fully dedicated service management firm for our clients, which is especially valuable at notoriously busy UK airports,” Alan continues. “While FBOs and regular handling agents are dealing with numerous flights and related issues, the FPI UK team are focused only on your aircraft operation.”
As a reminder, FPI UK covers all of London and Farnborough, and special arrangements can be made to physically cover airports further afield, such as in the Midlands, Scotland, and Ireland.
Services include:
- Tasks beyond typical FBO services, including securing landing slots, flight plan filing, and Eurocontrol slot timing “adjustments” (which greatly minimizes departure delays due to extremely tight European AirNav slot restrictions).
- Staying in constant touch with established local airport handling organizations, including off airport catering, ground transport, hotel, and other service vendors.
- Being registered to cover the UK Air Passenger Duty (APD) tax required by all operations into the UK. (Operators only need to ensure your company is registered with FPI to represent them for this mandatory requirement.)
- Continuously developing relationships with regulators, airports, and the CAA to stay ahead of the curve in order to deliver the latest and most accurate news, information and changes so that you are prepared well in advance of your flight.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to FPI’s UK team should your travels navigate through the region… The team is geared up and ready to take off into a dynamic new year in service to your operations and handling needs!
