World Economic Forum: Operations Guidance for 2026

(December 2025)

Going to Switzerland for the Davos World Economic Forum 2026? The annual Davos forum takes place this year from 19-23 January. The following information can also be downloaded here for your convenience:

Now is the time to apply for parking and airport slots as airport ramps will fill up quickly.

Your airport options include Zurich/LSZH (the primary airport for the forum), Dubendorf/LSMD (a Swiss Air Force base opened only during special events for GA/BA aircraft located within 15 minutes of Zurich) and Friedrichshafen/EDNY (located east of Zurich and north of Davos across the German border).

Each airport offers unique advantages and options for attending the forum with all located about 2 hours’ drive time from Davos.

Challenges for operating to Zurich LSZH… There is still ongoing construction work on the airport tarmac which makes the planning for WEF 2026 even more challenging than usual. The ongoing construction work leads to a significant decrease in parking space for GA/BA. They are trying to fit as many aircraft as possible in LSZH however the possibilities are limited this year and there is already a wait list for parking on the ramp or hangar. We can assume the limited parking at LSZH will make a larger demand for parking at Dubendorf/LSMD.
