Seletar Airport (WSSL) – New Transit Corridor Trial Procedures

(November 2026)

Effective October 29th, 2026, Singapore’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAAS) will introduce a trial of new transit corridor procedures at Seletar Airport (WSSL). The trial will remain in effect through July 7th, 2027.

The new procedures apply specifically to Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) aircraft assigned visual downwind arrival or departure procedures by Air Traffic Control. These requirements do not apply to all IFR operations.

Crews assigned to these procedures must:

  • Complete the required pilot self-certification before operating under the new procedures.
  • Comply with all published routing requirements and applicable operating restrictions.
  • Review the procedures inadvance to ensure operational readiness.

CAAS has also advised that IFR flights may experience delays of approximately 15 minutes during designated weekday periods.

Operators planning flights to or from WSSL should ensure flight crews are briefed on the new procedures, complete any required self-certification in advance, and account for potential delays when planning flight schedules.
