When every minute counts, the in-country service partners selected for your trip plan can make or break the entire experience.
FPI’s Special Services Network (SSN) team is built to be your full-service, turnkey supervisory partner who not only make the local arrival/departure nuances appear seamless, but who also manage your complete journey, behind the scenes, so that no detail is missed from start to finish.
Whether your trip is a simple “point A to B”, or a complex set of destinations (with potential changes along the way), the SSN agents are your white glove, full-service trip supervisors dedicated to you and your trip — They are your personalized, private aviation experts with the full, global trip planning expertise at their fingertips, yet still locally attuned to the best on-site services for your situation and preferences.
We encourage you to leverage the following check list to aid your evaluation as you vet your localized trip support team. FPI’s SSN covers the full scope of services listed below, along with the experience to identify hidden needs that many siloed coordinators can miss.

The “Intangibles” — Does your partner have the following characteristics?
Vast local / global relationships —
Rather than being primarily tied to a single entity (i.e. an FBO, 3rd party service provider, etc.), does your partner have the ability to reach into alternate regions to meet expectations for high-class service, variety, and flexibility in light of short-notice changes?
– – –
Regional knowledge for pre-trip consultancy —
Sometimes the more obvious plan may not be the best plan for a client’s goals. Does your partner have regional knowledge vs. specific airport knowledge?
For example, an airport chosen may be the closest location on the map; however, it may not be the fastest once aircraft taxi times, CIQ processing times, security screening, and handling formalities (i.e. vehicle ramp access) are taken into consideration.
– – –
Technical knowledge, credentialing, and vendor payments —
In case of the unexpected, does your partner have knowledge in coordinating technical services such as maintenance, repair, regulatory compliance, certifications/permits, meteorology, and flight planning? Are they also able to pre-plan payments, credit, taxes, permits, and turnkey invoicing?
FPI’s SSN agents may either themselves be the credentialed person to directly assist the situation, or will have another credentialed expert lined up and “in the know” of your trip so that a variety of technical issues can be predetermined and/or addressed in a timely manner.
For example: When FBO staffing is stretched, crew and passengers often wait for long periods to be processed before being allowed to access their aircraft. There may be no one readily available to sign them in, open the gates, and escort them to their aircraft. However, FPI SSN agents possess airport IDs and are able to step in and perform those tasks to reduce delays.
FPI’s SSN agents can also facilitate payments across a multitude of vendor services (including fuel), which expedites the on-site process and greatly simplifies your accounting.

Well-rounded experience —
How long has your partner been in the handling and/or supervisory role, specifically for private aviation concerns?
“There’s never a dull moment in aviation,” states Lukas Kendera, UK Manager with FPI’s SSN team. “While no individual has ‘seen it all,’ some of us have ‘seen more than others.’ All aviation supervisors can expect to come across unique problems to solve; however, it’s a wealth of experience that allows us to resolve the situation with speed and professional quality.
“Europe is no longer an easy place in which to operate; there are simply too many factors to consider,” states Alan Owen, Sr. UK Manager. “Thanks to our relationships and experience, we absorb the complexity, so that our clients don’t have to.”
– – –
Dedication to your journey —
Will your partner be splitting their attention among other arrivals, departures, or local pressures beyond the airspace or FBO? (i.e. during special events, busy seasons, etc.)
With FPI’s SSN teams, the service does not stop once the client leaves the premise (as with FBO handlers), nor is the SSN point of contact tasked with juggling multiple clients (common to many “greeters”).
“As FPI agents, we’re ready to handle any service that may not be listed,” states Lionel Cojan, Sr. Manager in France. “More than just a few services at one location, we take pride in our dedication to meet our clients’ needs before, during, and after each destination so that the entire journey is covered from start to finish.”

As you consider each partner and entity to support your upcoming trips, contact FPI to learn more about the various SSN agents located in-country in key regions of the world. Their mission is to become your VIP point of contact across all the variables a typical trip can present.
“Sixty percent of the time, a standardized handling plan is perfectly adequate,” states Alan. “However, we operate within the other 40%, which is where the true VIP difference is made. When people ask what I do, I often say:
‘Let the pilots fly the aircraft… We’ll take care of everything else.’ “
