Slots at LLBG, Tel Aviv airport will be extremely tough to obtain on 09-10 September. Significant nighttime closures at LFPB will occur beginning in Middle September until the end of September. Notams will be issued later on. At EDDV, Hannover, Germany, 09R/27L will be closed from 08/31 to 09/18. 09L/27R will remain open (longer runway). Vietnam will be observing a national day holiday from 29 August until 02 September. Processing of overflight permits may take significantly longer than normal. Presidential TFR will be coming to the Dallas area on 09 to 10 September.
No critical weather days are in effect through Sunday. G2 geomagnetic storms (moderate) are forecast through Saturday.
CONUS severe weather outlook – on Saturday, slight risks exist for severe thunderstorms from the Northern Great basin to the Northern Plains. with a marginal risk on Sunday for the Northern and Central Plains.
Tropical weather outlook – once again, plenty of activity in all the basins this morning. Last bulletin has been issued on TS Saudel, as it has made landfall over Eastern China and continues to weaken rapidly. Not overly concerned about TS Dolly, 1145 miles East of the Leeward Islands moving west at 24 mph.
Europe outlook – over the weekend and into early next week a series of low-pressure areas along with cold upper-level lows and associated cold fronts will help produce widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms from Ireland to Northern France to the Benelux region along with gusty winds at times. Further to the South more stable weather will prevail under the influence of an upper-level ridge. Estofex has forecasted a high likelihood of severe weather with several destructive storms likely today from Se France to Sw Czechia with damaging wind gusts and large to very large hail the primary threats with the passage of a mid to upper-level trough.
North Atlantic jet stream outlook – fairly strong zonal flow will continue to be in place on Sunday with the primary jet from Lake Superior to Newfoundland to Northern France with velocities in excess of 100 knots. Look for this pattern to continue into early next week. East bound flights will have a very good wind factor as a result.
