Aviation Weather July 15, 2026

Good Wednesday Morning!

Per notam 07/032 Jet A fuel uplift limited to 350 gallons at ACK until 07/16 at 10z. Pay close attention to the notams for KGPI as the main runway 02/20 will be closed for rehab work nightly Monday through Friday through the end of the month. Please see details below abut delays in EUROCONTROL airspace today.

A critical weather day remains in effect until 12z Thursday in support of heavy rains in South Central TX and impact-based decision support ops in the ATL area today. No geomagnetic storms are expected through Friday.

CONUS severe weather outlook – no significant severe weather episodes expected through Friday.

Tropical weather outlook – TS Elida, 560 miles SSW of the Southern tip of Baja CA may undergo rapid intensification over the next few days but will not impact any land masses. A weak area of low pressure may form over the weekend over the Northeastern Gulf of America with slow development possible thereafter as it moves slowly to the NE.

Europe outlook – significant delays are expected today due to numerous clustered thunderstorms which will likely become severe at times per estofex from Western France to Slovakia. On Thursday isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms are once again possible from Northern Spain to the Balkans per the latest EURO lightning forecast. On Friday, much of central Europe will also experience significant thunderstorm activity with high delays expected.

Canadian smoke model forecast -I have included a few images from the Canadian smoke plume model. On Thursday, with the NW flow continuing very high concentrations of smoke are very likely from Western Ontario to Long Island with little reprieve likely on Friday. A general NW flow will continue into the weekend, therefore smoke may continue to affect the region.
