(July 2026)
The traditional Tour de France will take place starting on July 4th and will conclude with the arrival in Paris on July 26th.
Two stages of the 21-stage race will take place entirely in Spain. 2026 marks the 113th year of this internationally recognized athletic tradition.
The French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC) is advising that no-fly zones be put into place in specific cities during the event. This is to maintain safe zones around the race and to protect the numerous helicopter flights that will occur throughout the race.
Additionally, possible restrictions will affect airports in the major cities that are involved in the race. These restrictions would impact access to the airports, including parking.
Anticipation of these restrictions is imperative for those who plan GA flights related to the tour. Acquiring hotel accommodations in these participating cities will be difficult as well, especially in the smaller cities.
The conclusion of the race will take place in the Paris City Center at the Champs-Élysées. All surrounding areas will be closed to traffic, and heightened security is to be expected.
