On Wednesday, deep low pressure 150 miles NW of Belfast, along with an upper-level trough from the central UK to the Balkans will allow for at least isolated to occasional showers and thunderstorms to exist from Ireland and the UK to Eastern Germany to the Balkans. Some enroute delays are possible once again. Looking ahead to Thursday, an upper-level low will be present just to the North of Scotland with likely showers and a few thunderstorms over much of Western Europe likely.
North Atlantic Jet stream – on Wednesday, an upper-level low over Southern Greenland in tandem with another upper-level low offshore the US East Coast will allow for a fairly strong zonal flow from Newfoundland to Northern Portugal with velocities of 75 to 100 knots likely.
