Israel’s Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA-IL) for Visa-Exempt Travelers

As of January 1, 2025, ETA-IL will be mandatory for all travelers from visa-exempt countries, including the United States, and will cost NIS 25 per visitor (approximately USD $7).

Travelers are recommended to submit their ETA at least 72 hours before their trip to Israel begins.  Applicants should receive a reply within 24 to 72 hours (sometimes within a few minutes).

The validity period for the ETA-IL will be two years or until passport expiration, whichever is shorter.  ETA-IL authorization permits multiple entries for stays of up to 90 days per visit.

Private (General Aviation) crew members may enter with the GenDec in place as long as they are arriving as an active crew member on a flight. In this case, they would not need to apply for an ETA-IL.
